"D" is for Diane
When I heard about the study that suggests students who have "C" or "D" as an initial have lower GPAs than students who have "A" or "B" as an initial, well, I just had to disagree -- and send a shout-out to all of the sensational C's and divine D's out there.
What do you think -- do initials dictate destiny?

Not in the least. My name is Caitlyn and I was in the top 10 students in my high school until my senior year (which I spent abroad on scholarship), and I graduated third in my class at college. No way!
What about L for Lily??
My husband's father's first initial is C and he's a math genius.
I think the science of 'initials dictating destiny' is just about as accurate as numerology or tarot cards.
I graduated from high school with a 98% average. My sister's name also begins with a "D" and barely graduated. Any silly study can be "proven" if you want to use inaccurate information as your bias. I heard that Albert Einstein and Bill Gates didn't have the best grades either.
Yea - my name start with an A and I was in the bottom 10 graduating - lol
OMG.. that is just so wrong..
Both my children one begins with a C and the other is D.
My son .. the D.. is a gifted and High honors student, and My daughter C is honor roll as well.. Its not about their intials.. its about parent / teacher participation in their studys.. This is just another excuse for those who don't want try a little harder.
What about the rest of the alphabet? How is L for Linda rated? R for Robert rated? V for Veronica? etc... get my drift? It is not the initial, it is the instruction AND the study habits!!! Some people are also book smart and have not common sense and visa versa.... ANY COMMENT! Get a life!
Hey!! for sure. My name starts with a P and I was always in the top 10 of the class.
It is not only instruction and study habits it is also self- esteem and what their home environment is like. Or if their mother was sober during pregnantcy.I am currently raising a FAE child.With a stable home and all our attention.She is improving. Her name starts with an A. She was failing but is now in the middle of her class.
