Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant, Mama Spears's parenting book is delayed

We're sure you’ve all heard the news by now: 16-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears, younger sister of Britney Spears, is pregnant. Jamie Lynn, the star of Nickelodeon's "Zoey 101", said she plans to raise the baby at home in Louisiana—"so it can have a normal family life."

Coincidently, according to People.com, Lynne Spears's book about raising her famous daughters Britney and Jamie Lynn has been put on hold. Publishers Marketplace describes the book as "Lynne Spears's personal story of raising high-profile children while coming from a low-profile Louisiana community." The book was set to be published in spring 2008.

On Zoom, a kids activity site hosted by PBS Kids, users have the ability to submit reviews of their favorite shows. Of "Zoey 101", one tween wrote "I absolutely love Zoey 101 because it sort of teaches kids who watch it how they can solve their own problems at a certain age without depending on your parents for support." Kids ages 8 to 16 had left reviews.

So what are your thoughts? Should Mama Spears be dishing out parenting advice? Does your child watch "Zoey 101"? How does this change the way she looks at Jamie Lynne Spears? More importantly, how do you talk to your kids about pregnancy, now that one of their tween idols is pregnant?

At what age should you talk to your kids about sex?

Every mom has good and bad advice to give...and most moms (dads too) go through experiences like the one Mrs. Spear's is going through now with her daughter Jamie Lynn. It's what she does with that is the information other parents can use to deal with their own situations. Is she an expert that should be writing a book about it? Probably not.

Ummmm, this is the same mama that Brittney learned her parenting skills from???? Now she's got a pregnant teenager. This book should be stopped in the presses. People might actually take it seriously.

That entire family is so very sad and confused. They need about five years of total obscurity and intense counselling to get themselves oriented to Planet Reality. Or it may be too late, poor things.

People think money makes life so much better. Take away the Spears' girls money and fame...they would be your typical disfunctional american family. They just happen to be in the media's eye. I think its sad. Poor influence considering they are no doubt aware of the age rage to who listen/watch these girls entertainment. I think they are clueless rich people if they knew how hard life really was they would think twice.
